2026 DBL Premier League Referee Panel
Basketball NT is pleased to announce the officials selected for the 2026 Darwin Basketball Premier League Referee Program, introducing two dedicated pathways to support the continued growth and development of referees across the Territory.
The program consists of the Premier League Referee Panel, alongside a newly established Premier League Development Panel, creating a clear pathway for referees aspiring to officiate at Darwin Basketball's highest level of competition.
The Premier League Referee Panel recognises officials who have consistently demonstrated the skills, professionalism and game management required to officiate Premier League fixtures. Throughout the season, panel members will continue to receive ongoing coaching, performance feedback and development opportunities.
The newly introduced Premier League Development Panel has been established to support referees who have shown significant potential and are working towards Premier League appointments. While a Premier League debut may not come this season, the program will provide structured mentoring, targeted coaching and valuable learning opportunities to prepare these officials for future progression.
As part of the program, all selected referees will join a dedicated Premier League Referee WhatsApp group, which will serve as the central communication platform throughout the season. Weekly appointments, coaching resources, performance feedback, training updates and important announcements will all be shared through the group.
This initiative reflects Basketball NT's ongoing commitment to developing high-quality officials and creating a sustainable referee pathway that supports both current Premier League referees and the next generation of officials.
